Pride Run Phoenix
Canceled due to COVID-19 Pandemic
As the COVID-19 pandemic escalates at alarming rates, the welfare and safety of our community remain very important to us, and we are working diligently to react accordingly to information as it becomes available.
Our top priority is taking the correct actions to protect everyone’s well-being and safety. For this reason, with the rapid spread and uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus, and careful review of the CDC and World Health Organization (WHO) directives, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 pride run and walk.
We believe the risk and spread of the virus have become too great to continue with the run and walk and know the correct decision is to cancel this year’s event under the circumstances. We also realize the majority of our volunteers, exhibitors, participants, and customers also believe this to be true and realize even those wanting to attend are having difficulties such as flight restrictions.
It is our wish that you and all those you care about remain healthy and unimpacted by this disease. We appreciate your support of Pride Run Phoenix and the mission to educate and promote IDEA, inclusion, diversity, equality, and acceptance, and hope that you will join us on March 20, 2021.

High Level Event Detail
The Pride Run Phoenix annual event will occur next on Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 5 AM to 12 PM. Road closures will begin as early as 2 AM and should be cleared by 1 PM. Traffic delays are expected throughout the duration of the event. If at all possible, attempt to avoid areas of closure or restriction on race day. Local resident access and business access will be maintained throughout the event. When needed, plan approach/departure routes and times in advance. Major intersections remain open as long as possible. To cross Central Ave east and west, use Camelback Road and streets north of Camelback Road, or I10.
Guests of Pride Run Phoenix are encouraged to take advantage of mass transit and specifically light rail and park-and-ride lots to ease traffic congestion. Plan for high usage of light rail and park-and-rides. Bus service may be detoured due to street closures. Plan for slight bus service delays. Visit Valley Metro or call (602) 253-5000 for details.
